This
ancient piece of antiquity in the tranquil village of Chandor,
known locally as Voddlem Ghor,
goes really back in time. The palatial house has its base in a fort constructed
over 500 years back and belongs to the pre-Portuguese era . It has gradually
morphed itself into different forms in accordance with the people who have
lived in it at different times, and the need of the age. One of the present
inhabitants of the house opens a door and shares with you to a world gone by
with great warmth and longing. A step inside and one is transported to faraway
times, times lived well, times lived in élan, times lived in fear and unease,
times lived in the ambiguous greys of the present and the yesteryears.
